Title: Java Front End Developer Duration: 1 Year + Location: Walnut Creek, California Job Description Provide development services for 4G LTE Performance Tools front-end and back-end application which includes: Review requirements and feature enhancements with Subject Matter Expert (SME) Work with database developers to ensure updates show up correctly Perform regular check-in into source control tool using git Address Jira tickets related to end-user enhancements and reported issues Engage QA for end-to-end testing Come up with MOP including any deployment shell scripts for RedHat Linux environment and/or SQL scripts for Oracle. Work with operations team to ensure smooth MOP rollout Provide weekly status updates Necessary Skills / Experience/ Must Have: College degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology preferred. Senior level developer (5+ years experience developing robust web applications) with Strong Agile Front End experience including must have expert level skill in Java, Swing, Servlets, JSP, Basic SQL Knowledge, HTML5, Javascript, UNIX/Linux, React, Nodejs. Preferred: - Eclipse, Ant, shell scripting, Gradle. - Work on a web based and java swing application that aggregates multiple internal data sources to provide near real-time monitoring. The project is currently based on Apache Tomcat with a relational DB. Deliverable: - Work on all phases of the SDLC from minor bug fixes to enhancement design and implementation. - Candidate will work on user interface enhancements and bugs, adding user customization and preferences. - Candidate should have a strong understanding of, and practical experience with web based applications. Candidate will interface with Engineers and other developers in a fast paced work environment. - Candidate should have Familiarity with load balancing tools such as Haproxy, - Expert in developing applications using microservice architecture - Ability to analyze and implement enhancements to existing applications - Experience using source code control systems (Stash/GIT preferred) - Experience in a structured development environment as part of a team of engineers, developers and testers. - Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communications skills - Self-motivated and able to work independently - Ability to deliver on promised dates - Excellent team, interpersonal, and organizational skills - Desirable to have experience with developing cloud-based/Saas applications - Desirable to have knowledge of NoSQL database and MapReduce technologies.
