About the project and role
o Senior Java engineer for Apple SupportWeb
o High traffic and feature rich consumer facing site
o Hands on. You'll need to code and design architecture most of the time.
o Cross-functional role
Must have
o Upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude
o Good interpersonal skills, for collaborating across participating teams
o Strong programming expertise in Java, Multi-threading, Non-blocking IO, Spring, Kafka, ZooKeeper etc.
o Reactive Development using Spring WebFlux / Reactor
o Hands on experience publishing and consuming RESTful services (Swagger, WADL etc).
o Should have a deep understanding of NoSQL storage solutions viz. Cassandra, Mongo etc.
o Experience in containers like Docker and deploying code to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or private cloud.
o Should have a strong UNIX background and comfortable writing Unix scripts.
o Should be able to performance tune application code and assist team members in reviewing code and provide suggestions to developers.
o Implemented solutions that handle high availability and concurrency with low latency requirements.
Nice to have
o Prior experience working in other Apple teams is a big plus
o Reactive Development using Spring WebFlux / Reactor
o Computer Science academic background
