Job Title: Lead Java Developer - Software Development Engineer Testing (SDET)
Location: Rockville, MD
Duration :Long term Contract (Min 3+ Years)

Summary:
Excellent hands on Experience as Java Developer present working as a Lead Software Development Engineer Testing (SDET) would be required
This is my highest priority opening right now. From a general profile perspective, I’d be open to candidates that are currently in a development lead role that are open to a bit of a change.
This position will be leading a single team of 5-6 other SDETs.
There is potential for scope growth as time progresses.
There are strong personalities in this project and therefore soft skills will be important. This position is going to be tough to fill (I’ve been looking for more than 6 months) but it’s my absolute highest priority at the moment.

Must haves:
Strong personality
Strong decision making
Strong technically, both coding/java and understanding how web applications work
Strong Quality Assurance principles and mindset
Experience leading at least a single team
Ability to mentor junior team members

Nice to haves:
Experience standing up new test frameworks
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
Experience creating and implementing test strategies and test plans
