It operates Climate segment that delivers energy-efficient products and energy services. The company offers Trane and American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning which provide heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and commercial and residential building services, parts, support, and controls; energy services and building automation. 

 

Job Summary: 

The ServiceNow Developer will play a key role in maturing our ServiceNow capabilities and support the build and maintenance of new workflows and integrations that drive automation. 
This role is “hands-on”, helping us stabilize the platform, add enhancements, and develop new use cases to maximize business value. The candidate for this job explores many ways to solve problems and makes recommendations best on best practices, sustainability, and fit. He or she has exceptional communication skills with strong technical depth. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules, technical solutions, such as client scripts, UI pages/actions/policies, scheduled job, import sets and transform maps, ACLs and notifications 
  • Develop existing and custom applications within ServiceNow including integrations with other applications 
  • Create and use update sets to move customizations between ServiceNow instance 
  • Provide administrative ServiceNow support, including advanced support via troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis 
  • Manage test cycles including Test Plan development, gaining appropriate signoff before implementing a solution in Production 
  • Collecting logs, analyzing failure conditions, troubleshooting issues/incidents 
  • Provide timely and ongoing communication to status of deliverables, support cases to all stakeholders at the appropriate levels 
  • Logging support tickets where necessary and providing relevant information such as logs, screenshots, etc. to help resolve issue 
  • Use Postman and other tools to build, test and validate end-points using
  • REST API Calls, JSON/XML 
  • Build and maintain appropriate training to internal and external users in form of Knowledge Articles, Standard Work 
     

Qualifications: 

  • Qualified candidates will be driven individuals and possess exceptional business acumen, coupled with strong working knowledge of ServiceNow 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience building solutions from start to finish including configuration of connections in the ServiceNow Platform 
  • Proficiency with Rest APIs and how they interface with ServiceNow 
    Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, PERL, bash, etc) 
  • Web portal development skills, such as HTML, CSS, Angular JS, bootstrap 
  • Must have excellent analytical skills, ability to multi-task simultaneously among changing priorities 
  • Experienced with vLookups and data sorting and filtering 
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of policies/guidance and procedures. 
  • Diligent attention to detail, processes and quality of outputs 
  • Ability to quickly prioritize issues/requests and be capable of personally diving deep when required to deliver solutions within an accelerated timeframe 
  • Natural curiosity and ability to learn new tools quickly 
  • Works well under pressure and can resolve complex problems 
  • Works in a collaborative fashion, elevates team results over individual results 
  • Effective personal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and lead cross-functional teams 
  • Strong commitment to adhere to project management disciplines 
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field/discipline 
  • ServiceNow System Admin Certification a PLUS 
  • Prior Hands-On Experience in Integrating SailPoint Identity Now
  • ServiceNow Catalog with ServiceNow a PLUS
