Job Description :
Java 1.8+
Multithreading & Concurrency - i.e. they know the internals of the JVM intimately
Large, distributed, Cloudy environment experience (can be AWS, PCF, GCP, CloudFoundry, etc. Azure doesn't buy us much)
Back-End focused.
CI/CD
Microservices preferred. If no Microservices then they need to be a bad-ass in all things RESTful Services & APIs
Unit Testing expertise (at Mastercard Engineers are required to provide full Test Coverage in their Pull Requests)
Thick skin
A brain and learning style that is highly adaptable. Mastercard is NOT a place for an Engineer who waits for the Tech Specs to be delivered to them on a plate. Personal accountability is huge - once you lick the lollipop, you own it. Engineers need to be able to make logical assumptions, make decisions and join dots. Waiting around expecting to be given the answer to a question is not acceptable there. Engineers are required to take full ownership and make sh1t happen.
