Java automation Engineer

Location  - Ann Arbor ,MI

Long term contract.

Candidate should be willing to relocate toAnn Arbor, MI by early fall

Must have SSN, DL, and Visa Copy

Must have LinkedIn and Long Term Projects

Need 30 Minute Technical Screening

 

Min 6 years of experience

Note : should be hands on coding java, NodeJs,Javascript and Java spring framework

 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates and validation tests
  • Develop automated tests for features developed in-sprint
  • Perform desk checks and code reviews
  • Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios
  • Partner with the developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are clearly logged and prioritized consistently
  • Partner with developers to find technical solutions for test automation
  • Manage the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix
  • Certify software functionality for new Production releases
  • Work with Integration Build teams to manage Dev, QA and production release of software
  • Provide exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented, to find additional or unexpected behavior, and to refine and define additional test cases for the feature

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years industry experience, preferably in an Agile development environment
  • NodeJs, Javascript and Java spring framework development experience.
  • Experience with test tool sets/frameworks - Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium web driver, Maven
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium Webdriver with Nodejs and JAVA)
  • Experience in API automation testing using Nodejs and JAVA
  • Version control tools - Jenkins, Maven, Git, Grunt
  • Experience working with databases and various data formats and related technologies for testing.
  • Experience in manual testing and writing test cases in Gherkin language.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)
  • Experience with source control versioning systems (Git, Stash, Source tree.)
  • Knowledge in CI/CD processes and tools preferably Jenkins.
  • Ability to work independently with an aptitude for detailed work and follow-up activities.
  • Experience in heavy traffic eCommerce applications.
  • Experience in working Agile development environment.
