Role Details
Role: Java-Apache Camel Middleware Solution Architect/Engineer
Location: Mclean, VA
Duration: 12+ Months
Role Type: W2 – NO C2C

Must be hands-on with development
Need to be onsite after Covid
Interview: zoom video with manager and with some team member for 1 hour

Details:
Team is working on Java/J2ee/middleware with: Java, J2EE, Apache Camel, heavy AWS, REST API, someone who can be senior enough to develop a solution and lead a small team of 2-5 people
o Day to day task assignments, code reviews, take business requirements to technical and guide junior team members, create design and implement and deliver solutions and be hands on
Project: Middleware app called Master Builder, microservice API, API’s deployed on AWS, heavily using Apache Camel (this is a MUST), JUNIT and performance and system testing, etc.
o API interacts with other bac end systems and need to build and enhance existing API’s.
o Next year will be building the Identity Builder and this person will expand the role to work on that project
o Apache Camel should be 1-2+ years’ experience (should be able to write code and use components, integrate, send messages, how to use the routes given, how to solve business problem using components, etc)
o CI/CD experience necessary
o AWS: EC2, Security Groups, ALB, ECS, Docker containers, VPC, subnets, Lambda
60% of the time will be designing/developing the solution, working with the team, mentoring, helping and 40% hands on coding
BPM (Business Process Modelling) experience would be nice as they plan to adopt a new solution in the future
NEED TO BE SOLUTION ORIENTED
Look for Redhat Fuse as well (Apache Camel is within this), so you may see this instead of Apache Camel.
