POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Position responsibilities require information technology functions and tasks, including but not limited to, the following:
· Analyze the current infrastructure of the Lottery’s website and make the necessary modifications to ensure a stateless environment;
· Research, recommend and implement a better solution for dynamic caching;
· Analyze and implement changes to the website application to address any security vulnerabilities;
· Assist team in the conversion to Struts 2 framework;
· Assist in any project that requires Web Services for communication;
· Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures and be able to retrieve, update, insert and delete data from Oracle databases;
· Mentor Lottery applications staff to achieve self-reliance with all projects assigned and completed;
· Identify processes for improvement, document existing processes, identify and analyze gaps between current processes and product capabilities, design
new processes, develop process performance measures and assist team with transition to a new process;
· Handle day-to-day management of assigned projects and prioritize workload to ensure project deadlines are met; and
· Write technical documentation.
The Lottery reserves the right to extend or expand the statement of work of the resultant Agreement to other related projects.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 6 – 8 years’ experience as a J2EE Application Architect;
· Experience in building and deploying web applications in an AIX, Websphere
7.0 and Oracle 11g database environment;
· Advanced knowledge of relational database design, object-oriented design and programming and web development frameworks (specifically Struts);
· Strong technical skills in HTML, XML, SQL, JSP, JaveScript and Java;
· Experience using Rational Application Developer software;
· Strong knowledge transfer and mentoring skills; and
· Ability to communicate technical documentation effectively to both technical and non-technical members of the team.
