Job Description:
The SDET will work closely with Software Engineers in a Scrum team to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
This is a hands-on, full development life cycle role which provides an opportunity to solve complex business, data and technical challenges.
Currently moving high volume data from mainframe/legacy systems to modern stacks/AWS
As a key contributor throughout the entire development cycle, you will be required to think outside the box and bring cutting edge technology in-house.
Ability to build and implement automated testing frameworks from scratch. Must have automation and dev experience.
Self-driven technical background is important along with hands-on-experience.
Excellent Communication - as this resource must be comfortable working in 1 week agile sprints.
Qualifications:
Experience working within a Scrum team and solid understanding Agile principles.
Needs someone with ETL/Big Data Analysis and DBA background
Needs SQL/Big Data/ETL/Python
Needs to come from high transaction-based companies
Understanding of ATDD, TDD, and test automation
Solid knowledge Java development with API and RESTful services testing
Familiarity with a variety of programming styles (e.g. OO, functional) and in-depth knowledge of design patterns
Solid knowledge Java development with API and RESTful services testing
Solid database querying knowledge. Preference for MS SQL Server, Oracle a plus
A solid understanding of financial markets and instruments
Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor (must have), Git, Sonar, Fortify, HP ALM, Rally. or SpecFlow.
Bachelor''s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
4-5 years’ experience required
• Demonstrable passion for technology (e.g. personal projects, open-source involvement) while using their problem-solving capabilities to deliver solutions utilizing a top end engineering approach
A proponent of strong collaborative software engineering techniques and methods: agile development, continuous integration, code review or pairing, unit testing, refactoring and related approaches
Experience with ETL

NOT SEEKING: Test Leads or Scrum Masters. Resumes with "contributed to or involved in" are not the skills we are looking for; the team is looking for doers. This role is not for QA analysts, or automation engineers. We need a hand on, SDET. This role will require the candidate to be able to hit ground running on 1-week sprints.
