IoT Solution Architect – Remote position

Senior Architects to design core IoT and Cloud platform services that support consumer products. This role will work directly with business stakeholders, product managers and software development teams to ensure the technical architecture is well understood, meets stakeholder expectations, and is fully implemented.



Responsibilities:

Create architectural vision along with high-level and detailed architecture designs

Develop proofs-of-concept and prototypes to help illustrate technical approach

Design platform architecture for availability, scalability, reliability, performance, and interoperability.

Work with development, infrastructure, test, and production support teams to ensure proper implementation of the technical solution

Participate in defining strategy and ensures alignment within the IoT Domain Team

Work closely with developers, cross-domain architects and leadership to create the best technical design and approach

Create scalable, extensible designs that are easy to implement and maintain.

Engage with development to resolve technical issues and gaps in the architecture, including reviewing code as needed.

Maintain accountability for solution designs all the way to deployment. Collaborate with business stakeholders during vision stages to help define solution options and requirements

Required Skills:

5+ years of relevant experience architecting and designing enterprise software solutions
Knowledge on IoT products, services and devices
Experience designing software solutions hosted on cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure)
Prior experience working in a Wireless Telecom environment designing software solutions
Domain experience in one or more functional area, such as Retail, eCommerce, Order Mgmt, Billing, Customer Care, Back Office, etc.
Understands microservices and has utilized microservices in previously designed architectures
Fluent in Java programming language and able to read and trace code written in Java
