Position Title: Interoperability FHIR Consultant Des Moines,Iowa FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) Specification, which is a standard for exchanging healthcare information electronically. FHIR can be used as a stand-alone data exchange standard, but can and will also be used in partnership with existing widely used standards. ( ie. HL7) Project: Build ICS based Interop solution to consolidates data for application layer consumption. Source data from Teradata or Redshift will be wrangled into FHIR compliant JSON format and loaded into DynamoDB/Mongo to build API's. Building an object or profile for 36 FHIR profiles in Wellmark ICS environment Role: Act as FHIR SME and work with Scrum Master, Sr. Developers and analyst to ensure FHIR compliance standards are being met. Responsibilities: Provide outward facing FHIR representation for the program and company Be the expert and translator to the client Identify and prioritize scope changes / adjustments Answer questions regarding FHIR specification interpretation Help Agile Development team interpret FHIR understand how to read code and make it FHIR compliant (technical User stories and Source to target mappings) Demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication Be highly collaborative Participate in requirements analysis Skills: 2+ years of experience utilizing FHIR standards to build healthcare applications EMR, EHR, clinical applications Enthusiasm for advancing FHIR standards 4+ years of experience developing consumer-facing web applications, services Strong knowledge of RESTful API's Programming in a major open source language or framework, such as Ruby, Python/Django, Go, JavaScript/React, or Java Understanding of additional fundamental web technologies: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, and JSO Experience and understanding of one or more different agile methodologies, including Scrum, XP, or SAFe. Active in FHIR groups and contributor to the FHIR community An ability to understand front-end users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred: Experience at CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) is a plus Required Skills: FHIR Implementation experience
