DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The City of Austin D/B/A Austin Energy requires the services of one Instructor Trainer 2 hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification Instructor Trainer 2 and the specifications outlined in this document for Austin Energy.

WORK DESCRIPTION: (describe duties)
This specialist will gather, analyze, translate and compose technical information into clear, readable materials.
Design and produce a curriculum that breaks a complex subject into blocks or units of instruction, creates graphics, and integrates them into instructor based and computer-based courses to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
The curriculum developed will include process documentation, instruction and guides for use by technical support staff as well as end users.
Training development and delivery will include on-site and web-based training courses covering any number of software solutions.
Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
Working with subject matter experts and identifying target audience’s training needs.
Applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, etc
Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.
Maintain project documentation and course folders.
State instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum (Required):
Years Skills/Experience
5 Minimum 5 years of training work experience delivering technical training.
5 Experience with web-based learning management systems and e-Learning authoring tools.
5 Minimum 5 years of experience conducting classes regarding software solutions, IT security, IT system installation, software programming, system maintenance, and repair of software, operational support best practices, and equipment.
5 A high degree of aptitude and flexibility to deliver training on a myriad of software
Products. Experience in delivering technical training in cloud based technology is a plus.
