Job Title: Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert the area of infrastructure automation and orchestration and own all technical aspects of platform configuration and its automation. Perform hands-on architecture, design and development of multi-tenant provisioning systems.
Service owner for configuration management, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and version control. Provide continuous support for ongoing application availability. Drive consistent operational practices.
Design, build and deploy automation tools to provision environments and applications.
Create infrastructure as code frameworks and templates leading to spin up and turning down virtual environments.
Apply Infrastructure security standards and practices as well as adhere to these standards in the development and design of new and existing technologies within our corporate and store infrastructure.
Collaborate with development teams and business teams to prioritize and deliver application and infrastructure enhancements and optimizations to support business needs.
Integrate enterprise-wide tools for automating, orchestrating, securing, monitoring, and managing the current and future infrastructure technology.
Develop, build and optimize production support models and process designed to enhance response times and maintain high availability of all production application environments and infrastructure. Responsible for providing a stable infrastructure and runtime environment for application deployments.
Research, evaluate and stay current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies; maintain skills and capabilities through education, training and hands-on experience. Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies. Accept new responsibilities, as required, to enable business growth.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline (e.g. engineering) preferred
10+ years of relevant experience.
Expertise automating and orchestrating Infrastructure as Code deployments.
Expertise in Terraform and packer is mandatory.
Experience with Infrastructure as a Service environment (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure)
Strong application development and infrastructure background with proven experience scripting and coding in a programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Ruby)
Technical subject matter expert in infrastructure as code, configuration management, automation, orchestration, continuous integration and deployment
Experience building and automating cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure preferred.
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code Orchestration Tools (e.g. TerraForm, Cloud Formation)
Knowledgeable with encryption standards and PKI.
Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and to articulate solutions,
Relevant experience securing server and application environments.
Experience administering Linux Systems, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS preferred.
Proven capability to create monitoring strategy and implement monitoring tools (e.g. LogStash, Solarwinds, LogRhythm, CloudWatch, AppDynamics)
Expert with Continuous Integration /Continuous delivery frameworks (e.g Jenkins), Sonar , Artefactory, Nexus, Configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Packer), and Version Control systems (e.g. GIT, SVN)
Understanding of compliancy standards.
Good to have:
Experience with PCI-DSS standards preferred.
Expertise is Image encryptions and immutable infrastructure strategies.
Automate security testing using various security tools to perform security and vulnerability assessments of the internal and external networks and systems. Identify potential threats and develop and automate the delivery of remediation.
Provide project management, technical assistance, and strategic vision for selecting and deploying new technologies and tools
