Infra PM- Server- Datacenter
Farmers Branch, Texas
Onsite Role
The role requires in depth knowledge various components of Infrastructure including servers, storage, network, firewall, cloud, containers and so on.
The Project Manager s role is to plan, manage, and execute multiple large project initiatives that create and sustain comprehensive solutions to deliver a world-class customer experience. These deliverables are managed from initiation to project close-out to ensure the quality of deliverables and timely completion. This role ensures projects align with the business strategy and deliver on time, boosting productivity and scalability while improving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage Customer programs with all associated sub-projects and activities, ensuring execution and optimization to meet strategic goals on schedule, and within budget. Includes managing sprints, making customer site visits and assessing critical dependencies, prioritizing backlog, managing against external timelines, optimizing workflow, and monitoring and delivering performance metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple levels and facets of internal business teams around strategy planning and development. Building and maintaining strong relationships with individuals and cross functional teams is essential.
  • Track & report on pending/overdue actions of the various cross business unit stakeholders and raising red flags as early as possible and presenting options for resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for successful delivery in a matrixed resource environment for all the project deliverables
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, including the customer project manager, through regular and proactively scheduled meetings
  • Manage project activities through the effective use of project management principles and the specific methodologies adopted by Client and leveraged by our customers to achieve timely project completion and meet the defined project business objectives
  • Develop and execute project plans for major initiatives, in a matrix capacity with project team members throughout the organization
  • Present recommendations for effective consensus decision making, taking into consideration risk analysis and impact assessment for project milestones
  • Develop project resource and cost estimates
  • Monitor actual project expenditures against project estimates and budgets
  • Provide accurate and timely budget reporting
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with the project sponsor/business owner to ensure that business objectives are met and any changes are clearly communicated
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, senior management and other managers whose staff are involved in projects
  • Conform to customer service level agreements (SLA s) to ensure decreased liability and penalties for not meeting SLA requirements
  • Use advanced technical knowledge to perform and apply new technical procedures
  • Provide technical direction, guidance and support to associate project managers and project coordinators
  • Lead and manage teams of multi-skilled resources to ensure goals and deliverables for the projects are being met and or exceeded
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing technical procedures based on understanding of new technologies
  • Other duties as assigned by the customer
We are seeking candidates with the following experience and skills:
Education:
  • Bachelor s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of project management experience in the IT Infrastructure space. Must have sound technical knowledge across the IT disciplines (network, server, storage, end-user devices, etc.) to help question the norm while managing the projects to strive towards the best outcome and have a good understanding of business processes, multiple platforms, technologies and financial management.
  • PMP or CSM/SSM certification is a plus.

Required Experience:
  • Experience effectively managing multiple, concurrent security/technology projects involving cross-functional groups
  • Experience functioning as a program manager helping to mentor other project management staff such that all projects are completed with desired quality and timeline to completion
  • Excellent decision-making, consensus building and conflict management skills. Must be able to communicate and act upon risks appropriately, exhibiting appropriate levels of urgency.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, and a risk mitigation mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, Word, SharePoint, ADO, ServiceNow etc.
  • Technical background required.
