Description:
A successful incumbent to this position has practical cybersecurity experience and knowledge of the threats and risks to an organization. The incumbent should be able to express cybersecurity concerns and steps to remediate concerns to non-technical individuals.
Job Duties:
-Gather and analyze data for potential security risks.
-Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
-Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling.
-Analyze responses to assessments and prioritize risks for remediation.
-Make recommendations to managers and senior executives about security advancements.
-Provide advice and assistance to management concerning information security, privacy, and related matters.
-Proactively identify, assess, manage, and mitigate potential threats.
-Evaluate information security systems, methods, and practices.
Skills/Experience:
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Ability to think critically and analyze data.
-Strong management and organizational skills.
-Ability to anticipate potential cybersecurity risks and remediate.
-Ability to speak information security to non-technical users.
-3+ years work experience in information security or IT.
