3) This position REQUIRES the selected candidate to work ONSITE for the duration of the assignment once clear to return to the facility. Candidates should be fully aware of this requirement if submitted.

IA-DHS-AA2 Database Analyst (622503)

Responsible for designing, modeling, developing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2016. Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system(s) requirements. Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning. Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
Designs and supports DBMS of low to medium complexity. Works on one or more projects as a project team member or sometimes as a project leader. May coach more junior technical staff.

Primary Skill Set
•   8+ years where the primary job function was writing and performance tuning complex TSQL queries at an expert level
•   2+ years writing SQL to access commercial databases like PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, SAP or similar for user reports.
•   5+ years where the primary job function was design and modeling OLTP databases using the many type of objects in Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine
•   3+ years where the primary job function was design and modeling OLTP databases using the many type of objects in Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine 2016 or newer
•   3+ years where the primary job function was writing SSIS packages that used objects like calculated columns, script tasks, parameters, and primarily CRUD SQL that were scheduled to run on a regular basis for SQL Server 2016 or later.
•   3+ years creating/managing Team Foundation Server Automated Build and Release Definitions in a DEVOPS process
•   5+ years actively using visual studio database projects to for the build of database changes and maintaining database source control in a DEVOPS process.
•   In depth understanding of using Entity Framework against SQL Server(e.g. coding, debugging, optimizing)
•   In depth understanding of using Reporting Services against SQL Server(e.g. The abilities of what can be done in a report vs. TSQL)
•   In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
•   In depth understanding of Networks(e.g. Network Transmission Protocols, Firewalls, DNS, troubleshooting)
•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
