Job Title: Applications Services Manager/Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Client is seeking an experienced Applications Services Manager to run a managed services platform model for the CTC Business Unit. A senior management role to oversee transition of application services from 200+ suppliers to Chevrons strategic partners and work as a liaison between Platforms and Partners. The role requires collaboration across platforms and partners to execute the strategy. The role requires in-depth knowledge of IT (focus on Applications), IT Services categories, and Sourcing Constructs. The objective is to manage supplier relationships, support contract management, communicate expectations between platforms and partners, provide overall guidance, issue resolution and management during execution of ADM Managed Services contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the overall execution of ADM Managed Services strategy
Manage overall transition, manage issues, escalations and provide decision support
Oversee and set strategic direction on key supplier relationships and participate in maintenance of these relationships
Drive Supplier Relationship Management framework implementation, working closely with Procurement and Platform teams to ensure that all elements of contracts are met by suppliers in the spirit of a long-term partnerships
Work with Platform teams to facilitate changes in application portfolio awarded to partners (application list and service levels)
Actively work with Procurement and Platform teams on strategic sourcing and ensuring compliance with Managed Services strategy
Provide subject matter expertise in Application Run / Maintain, IT service management, supplier transitions, and supplier relationship management
Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements
Experience in Contract Management, SLA & Performance Management, Supplier Risk Management, Large Scale Transition & Transformation
10 -15 years of progressive mgmt. experience including IT / Operations strategic sourcing
Previous experience managing applications within an Enterprise environment/company
Previous experience in technology-oriented and services industry
Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS or equivalent business management field required. 10+ years' experience required.
Previous oil/gas experience would be a plus
Although the manager sits in Houston, TX, the selected candidate is preferred to sit in Houston but is not required. The selected candidate will need to sit in the US and be able to support Central Time Zone.
Technical Competencies
Solid knowledge of procurement and supplier governance systems / processes / sourcing models
Good knowledge of business mgmt. & financial planning
Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration
Strong presentation and excellent interpersonal skills
Deep knowledge of project mgmt. principles & techniques
Excel and data analysis of an application portfolio
Notes from Manager:
This is not a true Project Manager or Business Manager role, more of an Operational manager position. The individual will be running the effort and overseeing the management of application in the services management deal
Needs someone with an operational support background, understand what service level agreements are, return to service, what end users expect for timelines, etc.
Middleman between end users and suppliers.
Supporting one of the Chevron General Managers who is executive sponsor of the efforts
There is managed services platform in support of IT platform model. Position will be running this model, expertise for the position is important. Cannot be foreign territory
