Job Overview - The team is needing an individual who will need to be 100% onsite. They will be working in the labs configuring and setting up Dell server/hardware. They will be running performance tests. Need someone with 5-8 years of experience, who is self-motivated and able to work without a lot of direction.
Job Responsibilities:
-Perform the measurement and analysis of subsystem performance for Dell products, with an emphasis on the server subsystem: processor configurations, chipsets, memory subsystems.
-Perform targeted studies to obtain optimal performance of a given solution (hardware and software configuration)
-Write technical reports/whitepapers that summarize the solution's performance
-Isolate issues (bottlenecks) in the solution and obtain assistance from peers, or internal/external teams to eliminate or mitigate these bottlenecks
-Review future designs for possible bottlenecks; work with engineering to consider changes where performance could be negatively impacted by design decisions.
-Maintain a broad knowledge of performance bottlenecks and potential performance impacts on the various benchmarks being tracked by the performance team
-Work with the performance architects to provide raw data to facilitate performance predictions on new products.
Essential Skills:
