Hadoop SupportRemoteContract W2 GC/USCTop Must-Have Skills: Entire environment is Linux - must have experience and knowledge with Linux Extensive DBA experience on multiple database technologies; Oracle experience a significant plus Extensive experience with Hadoop platform support Performance monitoring/tuning Troubleshooting/resolving issues Working with vendors & internal groups to determine Root Cause and remediation Experience supporting/upgrading Cloudera Data Hub, Cloudera Manager, Cloudera Navigator (version or newer) Designing/configuring/tuning replication (BDR or other replication tools) Familiar with set up and tuning of various components: Kafka Impala Hue Hive Yarn Oozie Sentry Key Trustee Encryption (i.e. – NavEncrypt, HDFS encryption, etc) Experience setting up new clusters (security, user authentication, backup/recovery, data replication, service segregation, failover, load balancing, storage, firewall rules, network, etc Prefer experience with setting up on-premise clusters. Experience designing and enhancing clusters and what factors trigger a redesign or enhancements (i.e. – new workloads, cluster resource constraints, user/data growth, new services/functions, etc) Experience segregating workloads and users Experience conducting proof of concepts and integrating 3rd party tools into the Hadoop environment Experience with automation (dashboards, alerting, scripting) Must be a team player (work with other members of team, other PNC groups, vendors, etc) Must be a good communicator (verbal and written) Candidate Requirements: Experience with support Hadoop Platform with Cloudera Data Hub or more current Experience with Sqoop Team supports the platform but does not develop the application, this person needsto be able to keep the Hadoop platform stable Troubleshooting technical and application issues - here's not whats working (service or software), need to be able to triage Install and upgrade platform Data replication Degrees/Certifications/Years of Overall Experience Required: High School Degree and Bachelor's degree (computer science, software engineering, or relevant field) or equivalent work experience required. 6-8 years’ experience required (overall experience with platform) 4-5 years of Hadoop
