Other Context:

I heard back from the team and we are still on the lookout for a GCP Architect. This is a TOP priority role and the need is ASAP. So far, candidates have not have enough GCP experience needed for this role. We are really looking for a Subject Matter Expert as the team already has cloud architects on board. Below is the feedback/updated steps and questions I need to have answered by potential candidates.

Happy to talk further on the phone about this if needed. Thank you again for your time and all your help on this!

FEEDBACK:

Based on the interviews we have done so far most of the Candidates are mentioning GCP in their profile in multiple projects. But after we speak to what we are finding is:
They are good in Cloud architecture concepts
But their primary expertise is AWZ / Azure
They lack GCP core concepts
Most candidates do not have continuous hands-on expertise on GCP, maybe they just did a small project or have done training.
When we probe in-depth GCP questions they are not able to answer or gives a very generic answer.

When you get a profile and talk to them initially, please check and provide the answers to these questions in your submittal:
How many years of full-time GCP Experience?
Number of Projects executed in GCP?
Any end to end project done only on GCP?
Do you have Kubernetes experience and to what extent?

Do they have GCP Certification? This is a huge plus.
