Must have:
5 years as GIS Analyst or GIS Solution Architect or GIS Project Manager.
Strong in ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Portal, and ArcGIS Online
Experience managing satellite, aerial, and drone imagery with integration to GIS systems
Some experience as Business Analyst or Project Manager
US citizen or Green Card
Nice to have:
Related Bachelor's degree
Proficiency with Geocortex, Python FME, PowerBI, SSMS
Strong project management skills
DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an experienced GIS Analyst to work for us in supporting the Port of Long Beach (POLB). This Consultant position requires an individual with a minimum of 5 years work experience as a GIS Analyst, GIS Developer, GIS Solution Architect, or GIS Project Manager. Key responsibilities include working with GIS users within the Port of Long Beach and others to develop modifications to the Port's existing feature-rich GIS applications, and to test, support, and troubleshoot Esri and Geocortex based applications, interfaces, and SQL Server databases as needed.
This is expected to be a 12 month or longer position and will be remote until COVID restrictions are lifted. Thereafter it will be at the Port's offices in downtown Long Bach. You must be a US citizen or Green Card Holder.
Required Knowledge and Experience
1. Experience working with stakeholders to define requirements, develop high level designs and facilitate development of appropriate solutions
2. Familiarity and experience with other Enterprise systems and methods of integration with GIS
3. Strong knowledge in modern Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Portal, and ArcGIS Online
4. Experienced with managing satellite, aerial, and drone imagery and their integration to GIS systems
5. Experienced with testing and troubleshooting applications and integrations
6. Experienced creating technical documentation
7. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
8. Experience as a business analyst and / or project manager
9. Experience prioritizing multiple work threads with multiple business units
10. Proficiency with Geocortex, Python, FME, PowerBI, SSMS a plus
Desired Skills, Education, and Certifications
1. Strong Project Management skills
2. Bachelor's degree in GIS or a related field
3. Strong preference for consulting experience
4. Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
5. 5+ years of experience as a GIS Analyst, GIS Solutions Architect, or GIS Project Manager
6. Experience working with software vendors, consultants, and GIS developers
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills
