Position Overview:

This position will work with cutting edge cloud technology to lead the company's Enterprise Data & Analytics transformation initiatives. You will help bring together fragmented analytic data into a single source of truth (SSOT) in our cloud platform. The data will then be formatted, cataloged, and exported to our state-of-the-art applications enabling the company to turn the data into powerful insights and analytics including AI and ML. These data assets will then be used to transform the way we serve our key stakeholders needs, including members, caregivers, clients, & prescribers.

Daily Responsibilities/Job Description:

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines end-to-end
  • Review application development designs and collaborate on domain-specific architectural solutions
  • Assist management in making strategic decisions regarding software and hardware use; participate in early stages of large project development to ensure consistent approaches in technical designs across projects / programs
  • Approve, review, and own process of delivery plans for all application business solutions
  • Maintain and monitor adherence to architecture, design, and coding principles
  • Research and recommend continuous improvement solutions where technology can be better used within overall systems environments
  • Provide thought leadership and champion for software development best practices
  • Participate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviews
  • Own application(s) within area, including proactive monitoring and communication of overall health and future sustainability
  • Other duties as assigned

Interaction level with Management/Team Members:

  • Daily interaction with team members for tasks such as detailed design reviews, code reviews, and support.
  • Weekly interaction with management for tasks such as architecture reviews, strategic planning, provide feedback on staff performance, and resource needs
  • Weekly to monthly interaction with senior level leadership (Director and above)

Skills Overview:

Qualifications/years of experience:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • 8 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development or package software implementations (i.e. building/maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform, Azure or AWS)
    • Proven experience of ongoing education regarding technology trends within software development and support
    • Proven experience with multiple development and support methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall)
  • Required Tech
    • 5+ years of Python, SQL, and Java experience and 1+ year of Cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure) experience as a developer.
  • Nice to have Tech
    • GCP Experience with composer (airflow), google data flow (apache beam), and operators inside of data flow that interact with Big Query
    • Container technology (Docker)
    • Kubernetes
    • Understands overall data warehousing concepts but primarily has a developer background

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years' experience of Python, SQL, and Java
  • Google Cloud Platform or other cloud experience
  • 5+ years' experience in data warehousing
