We are hiring a GCP Data Engineer for one of our clients in Dallas, TX.

The Mail Analytics Infrastructure team builds the mission-critical data serving, pipelines, and Lakehouse systems that fuel this success.
The Role
- As a Data Engineer (II), you will work on large-scale batch pipelines and analytics systems to enable mission-critical decision-making and AI-powered capabilities.
- Your Day:
- Infrastructure Management: Develop, improve, and maintain large-scale data systems for processing and serving.
- Optimization: Optimize complex code using advanced algorithmic concepts and a deep understanding of data system stacks.
- Framework Contribution: Create frameworks to improve the management and deployment of data platforms.
- Problem Solving: Develop complex queries and large-volume pipelines to solve engineering problems.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver data solutions.
- Innovation: Prototype new metrics or data systems and define SLAs for data sets.
Requirements:
- Education: BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience with a specialization in Data Engineering.
- Experience: 3 5 years in Data Engineering, including ETL, data lakehouse, and data modeling.
- Technical Skills: Fluency in Python, Java, and SQL.
- Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of algorithms, distributed computing, data structures, and databases.
- Soft Skills: Self-driven, detail-oriented, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS/PhD in a relevant technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in Hadoop/Apache technologies (Spark, Hive, Kafka, etc.).
- 2+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataproc, Looker, etc.).
