Job description:
Required Experience:
Highly skilled data architect with experiencing designing and migrating entire enterprise scale data ecosystems from on-prem to cloud, and architecting cloud native operational data hubs and data lakes for performance, scalability and security. This individual will lead design key components of our new data lake and data platform (primarily in Azure), and will design, plan and prioritize migration of our legacy EDW and data ecosystem capabilities and data to the cloud. The Cloud Data Architect will also design for data integrations with multiple SaaS systems hosted on vendor clouds, and will work with the architecture and application teams to architect data capabilities that will be enabled through microservices and APIs
Primary Duties
Work as a technical leader alongside the development and architecture teams, partnering closely with cloud security, infrastructure, DevOps, developers and Scrum teams.
Lead technical and design discussions with technical and non-technical audiences
Identify and select appropriate tools, technologies, standards and best practices to implement a sustainable and manageable environment
Architect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on one or more of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Architect and design solutions using new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)
Migrate and refactor monolithic applications to micro services architectures
Advise on implementing cloud best practices
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers and other architects
Provide architectural guidance and direction on rollout of DevOps tools, technologies and practices
Ensure systems security and compliance with PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc.
Skills/Requirements
Highly experience, senior cloud application architect
Experience with Majesco Cloud suite desirable
Experience architecting and integrating with Amazon Connect call center solutions
API development and lifecycle management using Apigee
Microservices architecture design on one or more of the major cloud platforms
Experience with various Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) such as Jenkins, Source Code Repo (Git, BitBucket, etc and configuration management tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible), technologies and best practices
Architecting, designing and developing applications on AWS, Azure and/or GCP platforms
Designing and building application using container and serverless technologies
Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
Ability to lead, mentor and communicate technical recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
