The Senior Software Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting the Logisticare | Circulation platform built on a Python backend and RESTful API using the Django and Django Rest Framework.
If you are our ideal candidate, the HIPAA compliant platform you''ll be improving is open to 2 distinct authorized profile types organizations (i.e., hospitals, health and medical centers) and transportation providers. The organization platform allows for multiple designated users to manage non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for their patients. The network platform allows for transportation providers to service those rides. There are countless features that can be added to these platforms to enhance the user experience and support custom client needs.
In this role, you will work with the engineering team to specify, design, develop, code, test and implement solutions to support this framework. You will participate in standards for development and software selection, and make application processing and design recommendations. You will also collaborate closely with the Frontend Engineers to ensure they have the support needed to build the user-facing platform. As a Senior team member, you will also mentor junior engineers, help establish strong coding standards, recommend libraries, code enhancements and optimizations and participate in code reviews.

The successful candidate must have 3+ years experience:
with professional Python development
building web services with modern Python frameworks
with version control and project process (Git and Agile preferred)
writing unit and functional tests
The ideal candidate would possess:
experience with Django/Django Rest Framework
experience developing RESTful APIs
experience working with Celery
experience working with Python 3.6+
comfort with AWS/Ubuntu/RDS
knowledge/experience with Docker
