Job Description:
 
The main work will focus on web application front end development including Java, JSP, HTML, and CSS through the following activities:
- Managing tickets that are submitted and resolving the issues
- Conducting test and making necessary changes to the apps
- Assisting with critical continuous improvement initiatives brought to the team by product owners
- Keeping documentation up to date to assist with future modernization
- This position will also have the opportunity to work on middleware and backend technologies for the applications as well.

Skills:

- Strong analytics skills with the ability to communicate the results of the analysis
- 5-7 years of experience with Java in a servlet environment
- Experience with the TomCat and Webspehere app platforms
Additional Info:

- After Covid restrictions have been lifted this will be an Onsite position. Until then, a remote candidate will be considered if they are willing to relocate at their own expense once a timeframe has been set for the work to be conducted onsite again.
- Visa candidates will be accepted if they have enough time left on their Visa to complete this assignment.
- This has the potential to become a long-term assignment
- OT is possible- this team has an on-call rotation to cover issues that arise during off-hours.
 
MAJOR PURPOSE:

Works on a product team and supports product design by planning its work,
coordinating with others, and writing and testing code to deliver moderately
complex functionality on a complete product or significant portion of a
product it supports. This level develops simple designs to solve well-defined
problems with guidance from more senior team members. May assign, coordinate
and review portions of the work to support personnel; Makes decisions within
established guidelines subject to review by supervisors; Executes high level
applications to more complex problems.
MAJOR DUTIES: Description of the major duties performed in this job.
* Develops, codes, configures, and tests programs and systems.
* Evaluates and implements enhancement design solutions to improve cost,
quality, and performance of software applications.
* Analyzes assignments and determines software specifications that must be
fulfilled to achieve objectives.
* Executes necessary documentation, as directed, or needed.
* Collaborates with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure
that features meet business needs.
* Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development
and documentation.
