Job Description :
We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for a Full Stack Java Developer role.
Perform advanced automated systems development work in support of Applications Solutions systems. Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving software, data, hardware and reporting problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Develops and tests Java Applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications and creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Required Skills:
  • Java
  • JSP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Bootstrap 2.0
  • Proficiency in SQL, DDL, DML, and Stored Procedures
  • Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
  • Knowledge of Web API development (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON; REST preferred)
  • Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and technologies
  • Experience with MS Azure Cloud technologies (Java on Azure, Azure SQL Server, JBOSS EAP on Azure)
  • Working knowledge of scripting and batch processing in both legacy and modern technologies
  • Experience in building WCAG-compliant web applications
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and application programming techniques
  • Ability to test software applications using a data-driven development approach
  • Problem-solving skills, with experience in scheduling, testing, installing, implementing programs, and troubleshooting software systems
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience using GitHub in a DevOps Cloud Environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting issues and preparing reports
  • Familiarity with SDLC tools such as Visio, Miro, ERWIN, Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane
  • Knowledge of other programming languages: .Net, C#, Appian
  • Experience integrating web services across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, PaaS)
  • Experience with automating identity management services for user authentication and authorization (Azure, Okta, LDAP, Entra)
  • Experience with the Texas Workforce Commission.
