As part of strategy to design and implement industry leading applications Morgan Stanley Global Banking Technology team is looking for a senior Java Fullstack/Angular developer with valuable experience on UI/UX technologies to join a technologically advanced team. Candidate must have expertise in leading design and development of multi-tiered Java EE-style applications. Candidate should be fluent in spring, databases, and database interface layers and associated Java development tools. He must also be able to contribute towards UI development using Angular/React, web protocols and standards, and associated UI development tools. Candidate will interface on a regular basis with other teams including other internal IT teams across Wealth Management, BA team, QA team, and global development team. To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities, vendor capabilities, proprietary system builds, and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Develop front-end user-interfaces of applications
* Work in a team using cutting edge technologies to solve challenging business problems
* Build elegant, scalable, extensible, cost effective solutions with an eye towards innovation and agility
* Utilize problem-solving and decision making skills to understand client pain points and to self- troubleshoot as challenges arise
* Collaborate with other members of the development team and project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting deadlines and budgets
* Design, write, unit test, and document application code to successfully deliver project-based work
* Work in an agile environment with participation in daily stand-ups/scrum
* Design, write, test, troubleshoot, and document application code
* Provide mentorship to junior Developers
* Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards, best practices, and trends
* 5 - 7 years of development experience in a large organization utilizing Java Script (ES6)
* 3+ years hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks like Angular and ReactJS.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience modern web-centric development
* Deep knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
* Candidate must have 2 + Years’ experience using agile development methodologies & DevOps practices and tooling
* Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment
* Experience using REST APIs and JSON
* Practical knowledge of web tooling such as Webpack, NPM, Yarn, SASS/SCSS
* Knowledge of modern best practices and design guidelines for UI development.
* Experience with agile development methodology
* Able to handle high-level architectural concerns and designs
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
* Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.)Skills Desired:
* Expert integrating with API endpoints.
* Expert at writing performant, scalable and reusable UI components.
* Proficient building on a headless CMS
* Knowledge of Financial market, Banking & Wealth Management.
