Position: Front End Developer
Duration: 8+ Month Contract
Location: Chicago, IL(local to Illinois)

Our team crafts compelling user experiences across a spectrum of internal and public tools, in partnership with business stakeholders and IT. We're looking for someone who is passionate about design thinking, human centered design, mobile-first and responsive design and development.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain mobile-responsive code that is user-friendly, accessible (screen reader and keyboard-only), functional, reusable, and cross-browser tested
Will bridge the gap between design and technology by translating designers' ideas/vision to other development teams through components and/or templates for single-page applications.
Collaborate with designers and researchers to transform complex requirements into intuitive, easy to use, human--centered, consistent and functional user interfaces/user experiences
Work cross-functionally with designers, developers, and product managers to educate, advocate, and update applications to meet new and changing business objectives
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or another job-related degree) and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in front-end development
Extensive experience using React, Redux, React Context, React Hooks, React Router, ES6+, Typescript, Node, JSON, Webpack, Git, GitHub, HTML5, SCSS, Jest
Experience with design thinking, human-centered design, mobile-first and responsive design
Experience with content management systems such as A e Experience Manager is a huge plus
Experience manipulating components for API integration and implementing APIs into single page applications
Experience producing accessible code (screen reader and keyboard only) and ability to provide feedback on designs to ensure accessibility is taken into consideration
Facilitates collaboration of cross-functional team and communicates and/or presents UX/UI experiences with stakeholders
Required Qualification(s): Must have reliable internet to Work from Home and capable of pairing with other developers
