Role: Finops Tool Migration
Location: Milwaukee WI (onsite)
Type : FTE
12-15 years experience
  • Good understanding of core Finance / Accounting principles budgeting, billing, invoicing, chargeback etc.
  • Extensive experience in granular estimation of costs for Applications / Workloads on Cloud
  • Good understanding and experience of the offerings of leading CSPs, including their pricing schemes and offerings
  • Understanding of different levers to optimize and save costs on Cloud, across all SKUs - compute, storage, backup, network, software etc.
  • Strong on Power BI and Experience in dashboarding and reports using Power BI for better understanding the cost management & spend
  • Analytical skills, with proven experience in analyzing cloud costs and identifying and implementing avenues to optimize costs
  • Experience of working with Business Stakeholders to provide thought leadership as well as operational support for different aspects of Cloud Bill / Cloud Costs
  • Experience with native and leading third party Public Cloud cost management & advisory tools
  • Strong expertise in reservations on CSPs including estimation of Reserved Instances, Periodic Analysis to identify new reservations / cancellations to ensure Cloud Costs are always optimized
  • Experience with building and implementing an effective Tagging Strategy to ensure efficient tracking and accountability of Cloud Costs
  • Practical experience of the end-to-end chargeback process
  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks such as CSP Adoption and Architecture frameworks

  • Understand rightsize recommendations and being able to weight the risk to work/cost ratio with implementation
  • Experience with native and 3rd party cost management and advisory tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, Apptio Cloudability)
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (a plus)
