Data/ETL tester for our team with extensive knowledge in Oracle SQL, Querying Mongo DB and Python scripting.
Job Requirement:
* Over 5 to 6 years of ETL/Data testing experience.
* Hands-on experience in ORACLE database technologies
* Strong expertise in ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL scripting
* Experience with MongoDB and querying collections.
* Experience i Python scripting
* Relational database experience with expertise in writing complex SQL queries & joins to verify proper mapping of data elements and manipulating test data through SQL statements.
* Good knowledge in Unix/Linux Commands.
* Hands on experience using WinScp and Putty
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Expertise in Data validation and Data comparison.
* Well-versed with all stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
* Understanding of Agile methodologies (particularly SCRUM).
* Experience in ETL Processes (Data Warehouse Testing)
* Knowledge and experience in Metadata and Star schema/Snowflake schema.
* Proficient enough to Analyze Source Systems, Staging area, Fact and Dimension tables in Target D/W
Roles and Responsibilities includes:
* Review requirements and specifications, and defines test conditions
* Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes
* Experience in preparing Test Strategy, developing Test Plan, Detailed Test Cases, writing Test Scripts by understanding Business requirements & attention to details, and developing Test Scenarios to support quality deliverable.
* Analyze and report test activities and results.
* Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work
* Experience using testing/quality assurance tools such as qTest and JIRA.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to varying audiences
* Carry out regression testing every time when changes are made to the code
* Give mandatory information of a defect to developers in order to fix it
* Prepare Summary Reports
* Communication with the Test Lead / Test Manager on daily basis
* Contribute to Team Review Meetings
* Track work and report progress to team lead on a timely basis.
* Competent technical skills
* Ability to work in a team and individually.
* Financial domain experience is a plus.
