Note: Team needs a resource to monitor EPIC Healthcare systems. Will need EPIC monitoring experience for when a new client comes in they''re ready to jump in. EPIC uses System Pulse and Red Alert as their monitoring tools. Team has zero experience with SystemPulse and Red Alert and this resource will be their lead with those tools. Get the process started, documentation and training on these tools.

Job Description:
This role is responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting monitoring applications (System Pulse, Red Alert, Nimsoft, and Zabbix) that support Virtustream''s multi-tenant Advanced Managed Service offerings to Virtustream customers.
This resource will also be expected to recommend best practices, develop automation, and recommend process improvement that will advance monitoring capabilities and reduce alert noise.
Coordination and clear communication with peer support teams is required to complete Tasks and resolve issues that arise.

Day to Day:
Install monitoring agents, configure monitoring probes, validate monitoring alerts, troubleshoot monitoring, remove monitoring from decommissioned systems/devices throughout the multi-tenant environment, update and resolve tasks and incidents as assigned in the ticket queue.

Requirements:
3+ years’ experience with System Pulse and Red Alert monitoring applications.
3+ years’ experience with Nimsoft (USM and/or MCS) and Zabbix is also a plus.
Comfortable administrating both Linux and Windows Operating systems
Basic Understanding of Datacenter infrastructure (i.e. Compute, Storage, Backup, Network and Power Devices)
Basic understanding of ITIL standards and process.

Work Environment:
This is a 24/7 remote team of monitoring engineers that are responsible for supporting Managed Services teams by ensuring those teams are alerted to any issues as soon as possible, ideally before the customer is impacted. All individuals on this team support an on-call rotation to support 24/7. Planned upgrades and customer migrations may require off-hour and weekend support. Assigned work is managed through a Service Now ticketing system. This role will work alongside the existing monitoring engineers with a focus on the Healthcare services. Healthcare services are the top growing area of our business. This is a global team of engineers consisting of 8 US based resources and 12 non-US based resources.
