EMR Integration Testing Engineer
Location: Brisbane, CA
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
We are currently looking for a Testing Engineer to support the EMR integration projects. The Testing Engineer will provide testing expertise and create documentation to perform the integration testing between systems and cloud-based and on premise EMR interfaces and will report into the Director of Software QA in Brisbane, California.
Responsibilities:
Perform integration and functional testing between LIMS systems and EMR
Identify, isolate, and document defects found during testing using bugs tracking tool
Be able to analyze HL7 files
Verify that bugs have been fixed
Develop well written testing plans, test cases and test reports using test case management (TCM) tool
Work closely with EMR integration product and project managers to ensure to meet deadlines, provide the status update and escalate issues
Participate in the meetings
Work with cross-functional teams
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Qualifications:
BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields
5+ years of Software QA experience (Biotechnology field is a must)
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools and concepts
2+ years of experience testing LIMS
2+ years of experience testing EMR
Strong HL7 knowledge (e.g., ORM, ORU, ADT, SIU, DFT, etc
Experience working with different data formats
Knowledge of healthcare data & workflow
Verifiable experience of preparing test plans and test cases documentation including regression, functional, user acceptance testing documentation, etc.
Experience with various bug tracking/software management tools
Strong understanding of SDLC and release management process
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and debugging skills
Organized and detail oriented
Exceptional interpersonal / oral / written communication skills
