Position : Embedded Software Engineer
Location : Goodfield, IL
Duration : 12 Months Contract with EXT

Job Description:
This position is for engineers who are motivated to contribute, learn and grow. The selected engineer will be assigned to multiples tasks, and it will be up to the individual to manage and prioritize the work. Some of the tasks includes:
- Create detailed systems specifications for embedded software
- Assist in the development of product plans working with Platform and Product Manager on clear deliverables.
- Defining and documenting sub-system requirements for current product improvement tasks.
- Assist in root cause analysis of current product issues.
- Prepare reports consistent with program requirements
- Propose innovations and develop new design concepts to advance current and future products and systems.

Industry: Heavy Equipment, Agriculture and Construction
Development Environment: Simulink

Communication Skills:
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management

Required Skills:
Experienced developing embedded software in C (algorithm development / application level)
Experience generating control modules in Simulink
Experience with CAN Datalink J1939/ISO 11783
Experience writing Python scripts

These would be a plus:
Experience using Visual Studio development tools
Experience using Simulink & Stateflow for control systems
Experience using Vector toolset ( CANalyzer) or similar
