Role Title: Electrical Engineer

Hiring Mode: Full Time with Client

Location: Griffin, GA-30224 [On-Site]

Job Description: 

·         Lead EMD710 engine electrical system NPI projects

·         Lead CAT Marine engine electrical system CPI projects

·         Debug marine engine and genset electrical/electronic technical analysis

·         Manage PSPS and PSPS Verify for marine engine and genset

·         Manage eCheck activities for Gas engines

·         Perform GO45 testing for Griffin engines

·         Perform customer factory witness test demonstrations

·         Perform engine ECM Wash and Flashing (if required)

·         Support NPI design reviews (Design for Manufacturing)

·         Support weekly marine engine and genset Quality Audits

·         Support Quality Alerts / MESA for Electrical Issues

·         Support marine engine and genset NPI prototype, pilot, and production rampup

·         Rework harnesses if practical

·          

Education Requirement:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technologist degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering.

·          

Technical Skills Required:

·         5 – 7 years of relevant work experience in Electronic Engine Systems

·         Highly organized person with proven electronic troubleshooting skills

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Proven abilities to work Hourly to Management employees

·         Time management and prioritization skills required

·         Familiar with factory processes (MESA, AQE, Job Numbers, etc)

·         Experience reading electrical schematics and harnesses

·         Experience with Engine Electronic Hardware and/or Software

·         Experience with CAT ET and CANape

 

Soft Skills Required:

·         Proven Project leadership skills

·         Familiarity with Griffin Production Processes

·         Demonstrated ability to resolve manufacturing process defects

·         Hands on electrical experience; simple circuit repair, harness construction and re-work, dyno cell point to point troubleshooting.

·         Experience with 6S CPI Green Belt Lead projects

·         Good communication (powerpoint, excel graphs, etc), interpersonal and collaboration skills

·         Experience with PSPS, CTC Rules, CAT ET, Cadet and CANape

·         Experience with datalinks: CDL, J1939 and Modbus

·         Experience with Quality Tools: myCPI, PPRD, CAT-TOP, Warranty Watch List
