Responsibilities Proactive monitoring of the highly critical payment network system Troubleshoot Issues o Participating in the troubleshooting of customer issues and production incidents. o Troubleshooting program logic by reviewing log files and debugging of programs. o Analyze the available data and find the root cause of the problem Provide user support, incident management and postmortems. Maintain services to meet service-level-agreements (SLAs) or service-level-objectives (SLOs) by measuring and monitoring availability, performance, and overall system and provide Daily/Weekly reports Deploy, support, and monitor new platforms and application stacks. Network configuration skills and the ability to configure multi-layered network applications in cloud environment Prepare Technical Documentation - prepare extensive documentation when logging product issues, as they must note all details, including their observations, diagnoses, and action steps. Maintain scripts or configurations used for environment monitoring and task automation (Shell/Ansible/Chef/Salt, etc. Automation - continue improve monitoring, logging and troubleshooting by automation Skills: Min 7+ years of Software Engineering Experience Experience with Application production and disaster recovery systems/application support Experience in debugging, deployment and monitoring of cloud-based applications Experience with Git/bitbucket, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, container-based solutions and toolchains Excellent at Shell scripting or Java/J2EE or Python (any programming language) to debug, identify issues and suggest changes Familiar with the deployment, monitoring, and metrics solutions such as Grafana and Prometheus Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams. Strong desire to investigate and solve problems and ability to understand complex systems quickly, and a desire to constantly make things better Ability to automate routine tasks Ability to support weekend releases
