Job Description

The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with digital marketing teams, IT shared services and vendors to launch, update and maintain global websites and other related marketing technology platforms such as PIM and DAM systems. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with Drupal CMS and Acquia Related Technologies (ACE, Site Factory).

Required Skills

  • Drupal 8 architecture, best practices, and coding standards
  • Managed hosting and platforms like Acquia Cloud Enterprise and Acquia Site Factory
  • Integrating with one or more of the major JavaScript frameworks, e.g., AngularJS and React
  • SSL certificates, DNS configuration and CDNs such as Akamai
  • Develops and operates end-to-end automated solutions for IT ops activities (including deployment, release management, monitoring, etc.)
  • Collaborates with Operations, Development, and QA functions to develop solutions that are predisposed to scalability and simplified maintenance.
  • Works closely with product and application teams to create version control branching strategy.
  • Works' cross-value streams with other DevOps Engineers to avoid and resolve merge conflicts.
  • Develops tool integrations that allow for end-to-end traceability for application development (from requirements to code objects changed to meet the requirements)
  • Assists in other areas of the department and company, as necessary.

  • Ability to work independently and to self-direct one's activities is essential.
  • Ability to organize, troubleshoot and continuously learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with project management and business services to manage internal clients and relevant communications.
  • Ensure development meets functional and technical requirements.
  • Create Drupal technical and component architecture documentation.
  • Ensure that projects and prototypes are completed as planned and with the highest standards.
  • Engage closely and collaboratively with designers, engineers and UX to shape product roadmaps and execution schedules.
  • Understands how policies, systems and processes impacts requests, projects, cross-functional operations.
  • Share's business knowledge and understanding among team members and stakeholders.
  • Configures and maintains on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of development, testing and production environments, relying on automated scripts and configuration management tools.
  • Creates, and manages Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Maintains, extends, and builds automated CI and CD pipelines
  • Demonstrates expertise in the deployment of integrated or standalone releases across multiple interconnected and disperse applications.
  • Uses industry standard tools to improve and speed up delivery of our products and services.
  • Provides fast and thoughtful issue resolution by executing quick fixes or proactively identifying and solving problems related to builds in production environments.
  • Creates the pipeline to periodically generate code quality metrics.
  • Drives each team to be self-sufficient by providing tools and training and brings different teams together to work towards common goals.
  • Coordinates resources across technology functions to stand up and monitor environments.
  • Configures and automates development and test environment, deployment, automation and support test data management.
  • Manages partnership with internal and external technical and non-technical teams.
  • Monitors day-to-day activities of digital builds, such as mobile applications, web experiences and digital products.
