Position Qualifications 

Primary / Mandatory skills: 

• Overall Experience: -7+ experience performing Production Support for Mission Critical, high-performance applications 

• 4+ years of experience using micro services on Kubernetes and Cloud environments 

• Experience with analyzing logs in ELK using Lucene query language 

• Experience in Java, Python, Shell Scripts, Microservices and Restful API Architecture 

• Experience in managing application and setting up monitoring and alerting in Azure 

• Experience in Relational & NoSQL databases like Oracle & Cassandra. Excellent knowledge of SQL 

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to work in a Global team 

Secondary / Desired skills: 

• Agile, Lean Agile and/or Scaled Agile methodologies: 

• Knowledge of Java, ReactJS, Spring & Spring Boot framework 

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and modern version control for use in continuous deployments 

• Experience with visualization tools like Kibana and Grafana (EFK stack experience preferred).

Roles and Responsibilities:  

1) Implement and enhance Automation framework for delivery of web applications using Java, J2EE, Jenkins, Maven, and UNIX.  

2) Work with Application Developers on a day-to-day basis to collect requirements for next release.  

3) Provide infrastructure support to Developers and QA including Linux and Cloud administration.  

4) Preparing release notes for each release. 

We’re looking for an energetic self-starter Sr App Support resource in production support with attention to detail, planning skills and constant focus to meet our application availability and mean time to restore goals. This Senior production support resource will work on mission critical, highly available Retail, Digital and BSS applications which will require excellent troubleshooting skills for complex issues, onboarding new applications, identifying monitoring, dashboarding requirements, understand application performance bottlenecks, supporting and driving incidents as needed and implementing best practices. Ideal candidate will have familiarity with the technology, excellent application troubleshooting skills, and excellent planning, collaborating and communication skills. 

• Production support and second level trouble shooting of incidents for mission critical high-performance applications 

• Second level outage response for mission critical high-performance applications 

• Application performance monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective actions for mission critical high-performance applications 

• 24x 7 supports during incidents and outages 

• Onboarding new applications/services for monitoring/support needs, identifying monitoring and dashboarding requirements. 

• Responsible for all aspects of technical projects/problems including but not all-around production defects, enhancements, audit findings, reporting, requests, analysis and vendor management 

• Projects/Problems are typically high value short term strategic projects that involve defects or enhancing technology, are highly complex and require tight coordination and integration with multiple internal Cricket partners as well as multiple external organizations and suppliers 

• Responsible for providing overall direction and technical or analytical guidance of the project/problem to teams that span multiple internal and external organizations 

• Takes action to direct problem analysis to resolution. 

 • Works as a team member within Problem Management to (1) run individual small projects (2) complete those projects within an allotted/collaborative timeline and (3) understand/document initial description of the problem, impact(financial, fraud, customer experience etc.), root cause analysis (RCA), resolution and validation 

• Identifies key internal/external partners and stakeholders necessary for project/problem completion and work with those partners to understand and document overall strategy for execution of the projects/problems.
