Desktop Support

100% Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations for end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Mac) and standard office applications.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

  • Set up new user accounts, email configurations, and system access.

  • Install and update software applications and security patches.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, and other devices.

  • Maintain IT inventory including desktops, laptops, and accessories.

  • Provide support for remote users using remote desktop tools.

  • Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level IT teams when necessary.

  • Document support activities and maintain helpdesk tickets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in Desktop Support or IT Support.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VPN).

  • Experience with Active Directory user management.

  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.

  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Office 365 administration.

  • Knowledge of hardware repair and troubleshooting.

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications (optional).
