Job Description :
Role: Deskside support Location: Pleasanton, CA Hire type: Contract Job Description: Provide on-site/remote support for computer devices (desktops, laptops, handheld devices, printers, Audio/Video Equipment etc and associated software. Specifically: Install and configure devices Install and configure software elements including the operating system (OS) Laptop imaging and built new laptops as required Maintain and upgrade software elements, including the OS Move existing devices Troubleshoot software and hardware issues Lenovo hardware repairs Assist end users with application usage questions and concerns Maintain proper version of the installed software elements, including bug fixes, security patches, and anti-virus updates Backup and restore selected desktops Assist in developing and maintaining standard configurations for desktops and laptops Perform hardware maintenance on equipment that is maintained in-house Asset tracking and reporting Special off-site events support Hands and feet support for AV endpoint devices. Helping coordinate setup in a meeting room along with functional testing Hands and feet support for Infrastructure Services & Network printers Identify HW failure that is covered under an on-site warranty and follow HW warranty vendor triage and dispatch process
