Job Description
We are looking for exceptionally bright individuals to join our product development team. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, customer-focused product development team. This role requires candidates with quick learning skills, passion for innovation, a penchant for details and good communication skills. The ideal candidate would be ready to explore, experiment and innovate in areas that are both familiar as well as in new technology areas unknown to them.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain database solutions to implement transactional applications, reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
- Create and maintain database scripts that automate routine tasks (e.g., create/alter tables, database deployments, etc.
- Document processes and procedures to facilitate database maintenance and to communicate the technical details of the solution implemented.
- Investigate and create or enhance tasks such as cleansing, validating, or transforming data with the purpose of drawing meaningful conclusions from the data, and conveying those conclusions in form of charts, graphs, tables, reports, documents, etc.
- Create and verify native SQL queries for transactional systems with simplicity as the guiding factor and performance as the most important goal.
- Guide junior team members in creating SQL queries and other database related tasks.
- Work in an agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
Required Skills
- Bachelor''s Degree or equivalent experience in related fields
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with databases (preferably SQL Server, but could be any RDBMS database
- Self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and produces tangible results.
- MUST be capable of writing custom SQL queries with a solid understanding of fundamental programming constructs!
- Experience working with database objects, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
