Database Architect
Under guidance of the Section Chief of the Unemployment Insurance Application Development Section, this position performs advanced application architecture work for various Unemployment insurance systems and UI Modernization project. The UI architect: recommends and maintains data management policy; provides expert technical leadership to the applications development and technical staff. Can do data modeling, data fixes, performance tuning, analysis of query and indexes, analysis of data structure and data definition, for the UI benefits system for both Oracle and DB2 databases. Has knowledge of SQL server and Cloud SQL.
Well qualified candidates will have very strong HANDS-ON DBA experience with large application systems, i.e., 1000+ programs, 300+ tables, and 8+ years in DB2/CICS/Oracle environments or equivalent. Also experience with large system, or equivalent, using Platinum, ERWin, Omegamon, ChangeMan, CNTL-M or like tools, and significant IT related knowledge.

· They will have experience both with mainframe and client/server applications.
