We are seeking a skilled and security-cleared Database Engineer (DBA) to support ITAR-compliant infrastructure and data operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL/PLSQL development, ETL tools, and database administration, with a focus on performance, reliability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain relational databases with a focus on performance and scalability.
Develop and optimize SQL/PLSQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
Manage ETL processes for data integration, transformation, and migration.
Ensure database systems meet ITAR compliance and security standards.
Perform data validation, integrity checks, and performance tuning.
Create and maintain technical documentation for database architecture, processes, and compliance.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support end-to-end data workflows.
Support audits and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in database engineering or administration.
Strong proficiency in SQL and PLSQL.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage).
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise-grade databases.
Familiarity with ITAR regulations and secure data handling practices.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, or AWS Database Specialty.
Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
Knowledge of data warehousing, data governance, and data modeling.
Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or government-regulated environments.
Work Environment:
This is a 100% onsite role at a secure facility.
Must be able to pass background checks and comply with ITAR access requirements.
