IDEALFORCE has a CONTRACT position available immediately for a Database Administrator to join our customer in Phoenix AZ. This is an ONSITE position. Job Description:
Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
Establish remote, secure connectivity between Oracle and SQL databases.
Develop processes for optimizing database security.
Manage database access.
Performance tuning of database systems.
Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Be available for on-call support as needed.

The laboratory in Chandler operates from 0600 to 1800, M-F and the Department’s main location in Phoenix operates 0800 to 1600, M-F. Remote work through vpn may be possible.

Database Administrator Qualifications/Skills:
Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
Strong command of Oracle server tools
Strong WAN database connectivity skills
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Familiarity with scientific principles and data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
Three to five years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
MCSE/MCSA and Oracle certifications preferred
Experience with Windows Server environments
Extensive experience with database technologies (MS SQL, and Oracle)
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
Experience working in the State of Arizona network environment preferre
