Job Description :
We are looking to augment our staff with a skilled ETL developer to design and develop business intelligence solutions for our institution. Duties will include consulting with the data warehousing team, converting existing extract scripts written in C# into SQL, writing SSIS and SQL solutions for extracting data from existing databases, and testing it upon completion.
We require an ETL developer to have extensive knowledge of coding languages and warehouse architecture and to be able to clearly communicate ideas to the team. Ultimately, a top-level ETL developer can create highly efficient and customized business intelligence solutions that align with the existing data warehouse architecture.
  • ETL Developer Responsibilities include:
  • Consult with the data warehouse team to get a big-picture idea of the institution’s business requirements.
  • Present data warehouse team with multiple development options.
  • Design and code the data warehousing system to desired company specifications and standards.
  • Test solutions to meet required quality tolerances.
  • Optimize proposed processes to meet ETL load window.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise.
  • Provide maintenance support.
  • Write reports as needed. 
ETL Developer Requirements:
  • Five or more years of proven work experience as an ETL developer with Microsoft SQL and SSIS tool stack.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or comparable experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of coding languages, including SQL and SSIS.
  • Experience debugging existing processes and developing optimized resolutions.
  • Proficiency in developing warehousing solutions utilizing the Kimball dimensional model.
  • Strong project management skills, Agile experience are a plus.
  • Ability to analyze a company’s big-picture data needs.
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
  • This position may be remote but may require occasional on-site work.
  • A background check will be required as this is a security-sensitive position.
  • The current length for this position request is 1 year from the date of hire, i.e., approximately 2080 hours.
