Job Title: Data Warehouse Architect/Data Modeler/BI Developer (Remote)

Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: 70 - 74$/hr on C2C/1099

Note: Selected candidates need to be on board Onsite. They need to pick their on- boarding documents and equipment manually. No expenses will be paid for travelling

Job Description:

To provide data modeling for the Data Management team and Data Tool project to include design concepts and documentation for the creation of data marts that will be used in MicroStrategy for enterprise dashboard creation. Design, develop, and ensure proper documentation is completed, reviewed, and accepted. Participate in peer review of all project documentation, processes, code, etc. Validate and document that modeling items are within scope of requirements. Ensure proper alignment to standards as defined by the unit and Commonwealth. Test and support for the Data Tool project to include test scenario documentation and UAT support: Support testing tasks and coordinate with the team to help define testing strategies and execution. Support testing tasks to include issue investigation and resolution. Operations and Support for the Data Tool project to include issue investigation and resolution, training, etc: Ensure data marts are monitored on a timely basis and implement corrective measures to ensure dashboard functionality. Research and document new and existing data modeling/development environments and tools. Have working knowledge of on-going efforts to better plan for future requirements and services. Provide continual improvements on current processes. Schedule and complete technology training as required, and train users on new or modified processes/marts/dashboards. Other duties as assigned, supporting priority projects as needed at discretion of ADS Data Management lead.

Must have experience with Data Model tools (ERStudio, Navicat, or similar), Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSMS) , Source Control, BI tools (Microstrategy, Power BI or similar). The candidate will need to have the ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing environments, multi-task, possess a collaborative working style and the ability to work independently in a team environment. They should be a self-starter, a strong contributor and comfortable working with all members of the Data Management team, engineering, support and business members within the Department of Corrections.
