Job title: Data Specialist Location: Dallas TX Duration: Long term Pre-requisites Must have worked on Data Warehouse, ETL and BI Technologies for at least 8+ yrs (not total experience, but specific experience in DW/BI) Should have been responsible for design and implementation of multiple DW solution with directly interacting business stakeholder on understanding their needs and defining the data architecture for the respective division/organization Technical Experience Hands-on experience in design and implementation of Data Warehousing solutions at Enterprise Level Must possess complete hands-on experience in SQL Server, DW and BI Good knowledge on Analytics Strong knowledge on SQL and procedural languages such as T-SQL, PL/SQL etc Hands-on experience on ETL tools such as SSIS , Stored procedures Hands-on experience in Query Tuning, Performance Tuning, and building aggregations for large scale DW solutions Must have understanding and working knowledge on Azure DW components Exposure to BI / Visualization solutions using tools such as SSRS, PowerBI , SSAS (Semantic layer) Designing Skills Must have hands-on experience of dimensional modelling. KEY Primary SKILL Exposure to conducting maturity assessments of existing data warehousing / ETL solutions In depth knowledge on at least one designing / modeling tool such as ERWin/ERStudio, VISIO, Power Designer Must have experience in understanding business vision to prepare ETL solution architecture Identifying solutions to key technical challenges in projects concerning data warehousing and business intelligence Should have experience of discussing with CXO's on requirements and suggesting various solutions based on long term goal of the customer Business & Domain Experience in Insurance & Healthcare Research Skills Need to be proactive towards research, POC implementation, comparing alternative components and preparing reports on the same.
