Position: Data Scientist
C2H - Remote on contract Once hired Fulltime, would have to relocate to Bentonville
Project Overview:
Time series forecasting project. This project involves developing and training deep learning modules, with a focus on optimizing multi-GPU usage to reduce costs. You will collaborate with 6-8 stakeholders and work alongside a team with a strong background in statistical machine learning. The manager, who has expertise in computer vision, is seeking a candidate with deep learning training experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models for time series forecasting, including curve fitting and regression modules
- Train deep learning modules, particularly transformers, from scratch
- Manage the full pipeline, including order transformation, validation, and module drift
- Present and explain module usage to approximately 30 internal users
- Adapt quickly to complex topics and new technologies
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Strong understanding of deep learning training techniques
- Solid SQL skills
- Excellent communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-GPU optimization
- Background in time series forecasting (not mandatory)
- Ability to learn rapidly and tackle complex problems
