Project Overview: Snowflake implementation project, from on-prem SQL Server to AWS cloud and then Snowflake. In roadmapping phase right now, looking for bring on 1 Sr. Data Engineer to help detail out roadmap and 1 Data Engineer to be very hands-on in the implementation/migration.
Requirements:
Snowflake (either hands-on experience or certification at the minimum)
Redshift
AWS or Azure cloud experience (AWS preferred)
At least 1 programming language: Python preferred, Scala, Java
ETL: SSRS, NiFi, Informatica, Datastage etc
Preferred:
AWS Glue
AWS Airflow
Lambdas
Kafka
Spark/PySpark
Years of experience:
Sr. should be around 8+ years' experience in big data, background in Computer Science, experience in platform modernization
Data Engineer can be lighter, more of a hands-to-keyboard type of person
Soft Skills: Very important, need someone who can articulate the why behind the work and high-level knowledge of data architecture. Sr. level will be communicating with stakeholders. Self-starters
Will have 2 more openings down the line (CTH or FTE), but hasn't dialed in the timelines yet.
Data organization: Consists of 4 teams: customer relationship management, enterprise data, ops team, analytics team
Murty's team is the enterprise data development team, 9 people currently
Location: Charlotte market (or able to travel on-site occasionally) preferred, 100% remote okay but will work EST hours
Process: LPS screening on our end, client interview 1 round, panel style. Will ask technical questions surrounding data architecture, processes, etc. And scenario-based ?s
