Job Description :
GCP Data Engineer( Remote with some travel: expense will reimbursed by the client)
Role:
ul>
li>Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications./li>
li>Ensure that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development./li>
li>Provide domain perspective on storage, big data platform services, serverless architectures, Hadoop ecosystem, RDBMS, DW/DM, NoSQL databases and security (Cloud IAM, data loss prevention, etc/li>
li>Align architecture with business requirements./li>
li>Data acquisition, transformation and extraction./li>
li>Develop, design, test and maintain cloud data solutions./li>
li>Develop data pipelines and reports that enable analysts and other stakeholders across the organization/li>
li>Use programming languages and ETL tools./li>
li>Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality/li>
li>Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level./li>

Requirements:
ul>
li>7-8 years of data warehousing, ETL, working in an enterprise class production data warehouse environment./li>
li>Passionate data engineer with 3+ years of Cloud data transformation experience./li>
li>Highly skilled with data warehouse and ETL development./li>
li>Hands on and excellence in ETL design, implementation and maintenance. Solid experience in process and workflow tuning and optimization.Experience with the system development lifecycle, such as gathering and refining requirements, data analyzing and data profiling, designing and implementing solution, handling sensitive data sets, production deployment./li>
li>Hands on GCP development with production scaling experience. Must Have/li>
li>Experience writing software in one or more langages: SQL, Python, Java, Go, JavaScript./li>
li>Experience with Hadoop based analytics (Hbase, Hive, Mapreduce etc)/li>
li>Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills./li>
li>Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc and pursue leads to find root cause problems./li>
li>Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology./li>
li>Self-starter who can work independently./li>
li>Strong problem solver./li>
li>GCP Professional certification highly desirable./li>
li>Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major./li>
li>Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions./li>
